HELLO MY LOVELIES!
I know what works for my skin and what doesn’t. I was really pleased to be *gifted* a hamper from Boots with six products from the Botanics All Bright range to try! Botanics is a range I haven’t ever used, but have been keen to try. I do love a browse around Boots and have faithfully bought beauty and skincare products in there for many years.
The Botanics range from Boots is inspired by nature, they source ingredients to address a whole range of skincare concerns and with 6 different ranges all tailored to specifically benefit the individual using them, you are bound to find something that suits you and your skin type. The scientific experts work closely with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to choose the perfect extracts to include. The All Bright range that I have been sent to try out uses exfoliating flower acids promoting a brighter, fresher and more radiant complexion that lasts all day long.
The items I have been *gifted* don’t take long at all to use which means I can easily fit them in to my day! If you actually read the back of products, they always say they are best used with other products within the same range and whether that’s true or not, I thought I’d try it out!
Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution – £5.49
This product is so easy to use. All you need to do is put some onto a cotton wool pad and sweep across your face and neck. It removes make up and dirt really easily and my skin feels really clean after use. The cleanser is really kind to my skin and doesn’t dry it out at all. After use my skin feels clean and smooth and ready for a cream.
Botanics All Bright Day Cream – £6.99
After cleansing I have been using the Botanics All Bright Day Cream. This is a hydrating day cream moisturiser with SPF15 protection that is said to brighten and protect skin. The first thing I noticed about this cream was that it was quite watery compared to other creams I have used in the past. You only need a small amount as a little goes a long way. Given the size of the pot it should last ages! Despite it’s lighter texture, it does go onto my skin nicely and is easy to rub in. I am not sure it brightens my skin particularly, however, after use, my skin does feel softer and the dry patches I had have cleared up quickly. I like that it has SPF protection too which has been great these past couple of weeks with all of the sunshine we have been enjoying.
Botanics All Bright Night Cream – £6.99
The All Bright Hydrating Night cream has a richer and thicker texture than the day cream but what you would expect in a night cream. I like it because I don’t have to layer it on as a small amount provides enough hydration for the night. Like the day cream, it sinks very quickly into the skin and doesn’t feel oily/greasy. No breakouts or irritation with the night cream too.
Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub – £5.49
I am a fan of scrubs and exfoliating. I would probably plump for an acid-based liquid exfoliator for daily use over a scrub as they can sometimes be a little harsh on my skin. I’ve had no problems with the purifying scrub, it hasn’t irritated my skin at all and leaves it soft and smooth. I can’t say I’ve noticed any major brightening effects from using it but my skin does feel nice and clean afterwards! The face scrub comes in a standard plastic squeezy tube where the product is easy to come out of. The first noticeable point to this face scrub is the smell – it smells great! I couldn’t point out what it smelt like but after reading about the crushed apricot seeds I definitely think that there is a lovely, subtle hint of apricot in there somewhere. It’s a very fresh, light scent and is pretty much inoffensive.
All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash – £5.49
I tend to wash my face in the shower, and I’ve been using the All Bright Cleansing Face Wash as my basic, everyday face wash. It’s not too foamy, which is perfect for me, because I hate foam on my face. This leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped – it’s nothing special at all, but does the job very nicely. It has the same fresh floral scent as all the All Bright products, which makes it pleasant to use.
All Bright Concentrated Serum – £8.99
When you drop the serum into your hand (it has a pipet dispenser), it feels like water. However when you start to massage this serum into your skin, you can feel its consistency. Still very light but moisturising at the same time. The consistency of the serum is lovely, it sinks into the skin quickly and it leave a tacky feeling base for your moisturiser to stick to. The great thing about this is that it isn’t heavy and it doesn’t feel like anything is sitting on your skin. This serum is super lightweight, and is easily absorbed into the skin. The serum instantly gives the skin a radiant glow. Personally I like to use this in the morning to really make my skin radiate throughout the day. It leaves your skin looking brighter and refreshed.
Overall, the products are really lovely to use and my skin has appeared to be a little brighter since I started using them. I am finding I am needing to wear less make up to cover the blemishes and feel much more confident with my skin.
Will I recommend these products? Yes for what you’re paying, I think they perform really well, but you may be disappointed if you are getting it for its brightening claims as everyone skin types are different, so it may work well on some and not others!
